Can caring about opinions too much be a bad thing?

well I've never really cared about other peoples opinions about me, but my friend is like this and i will tell u what i told her. It doesn't matter about what some people think of you, i can almost guarantee someone loves and cares about you. so you needn't worry about those sad loser's who tell people stuff that should not be said out loud. i hope i helped u :)
