Help! I can't figure out the name of the movie!?

It's a baseball movie from a long time ago. I'm not exactly sure what its about but all i remember about the movie is that its a bunch of kids trying to go to play offs or something and then their coach dies? i'm not sure but something happens to their coach and then they become a player led team but to go to play offs they need to get a coach so they end up trying to find a coach and they encounter this one mean coach where he writes on the board "ume" because something happened but the coach goes "don't ume because it just makes an *** of u and me" so yeah that's all remember it would be great if you helped! i really need this for a psychology project..
