Guys- should is it okay to tell him over facebook?

theres a guy in my cl that i like and i've been wanting to tell him for awhile now... im kind of a quiet girl, and he's on the football team, so not at all shy. summer is coming up and i just want him to know that i like him before summer... i dont think there is going to be any time when i can get him by himself during the last 2 days of school, so i was wondering if i should send him a facebook message... guys, what would u think if a girl sent u a facebook message telling u that she liked u? would u be more or less likely to tell ur friends than if she had told u in person? im kinda worried that he'll go tell all of his foot ball friends and i'll never hear the end of it. any advice would be great :)
