Is this conception of God realistic?

If you must believe in a god, then your way makes the most sense. The organised, sanitised, idealised, yet wanton, capricious and cruel gods of organised religions, gods that people purport to know so many things about, yet remain so ignorant of, are in the end deeply personal.
